Saint Dymphnae by Gata Negra

Saint Dymphnae is the second Gata Negra album, released in 2002. More sultury Cat Hope vocals and lush (yet drier) textures. Much critical acclaim for this album, though it never achived a formal distribution. Unique digi-pack style cover with lyrics, seal and each package has unique content. It is unusual in that the album features some different line ups, reflecting a collaboration with Melbourne musicians Kristian Brenchley (guitar) and Tim Evans (drums) who travelled to Europe with Cat Hope to tour there. It also features a collaboration with Sydney musician and photographer Guy Fleming.
A mixture of rock and slow core, featuring viola played beautifully by Kathy Potter and cello by Mel Robinson. Pete Guazzelli also appears on this album.

Artwork by Jazmine Hope-Scuderi.
