Bloodstar current artists currently include: abe sada, the kids and cat hope. It also maintains material by defunt bands gata negra, harry smith and lux mammoth. Material is constantly being added to the store, so subscribe to keep up to date. Scroll down to read a little about each artist.
abe sada
Think Loud and Low. Abe Sada are a bass guitar noise improv quartet with core members Bassta Pex! (Airport City Shuffle, Bamodi, Soviet Valves) and Cat Hope (Gata Negra, Lux Mammoth) and a rotating membership of bass players and soundsmiths.
Abe Sada have one album, SubZilla, released in June 2007, available in the store. There is a new album due for release later in 2008, The Low Chord, out on Japanese label Kubitsuri Tapes International . There is also a limited edition CDR Tatar Steppe on VLZ produkt released. They toured Japan in 2007, and appeared at the Liquid Architecture festival of sound arts the same year.

the kids
Brainchild of drummer Pete Guazzelli (Gata Negra, harry smith, Fall Electric), new outfit THE KIDS are a double-pronged drum attack with oceans of cymbals and mountains of drums. With a strong emphasis on multiple rhythms (think: Mice Parade, Amon Tobin) and uniquely angled melodies (think: Tortoise, John Barry) THE KIDS produce music beyond our known sonic spectrum.
cat hope
Cat Hope is a solo alectronic artist whose works focus on the low end of the soundspectrum. She has released albums on labelsin Australia, the USA, Europe and Japan, and was chosen to support SOnic Youth during thier Australian tour in 2004. She has toured Europe, USA and Japan, and her work is featured on the Susan Lawly Extreme Music From Women compilation (2001).
gata negra
Pop, noise, improv and the spaces inbetween, Gata Negra have three albums and an EP to their name. Made up of bassist and sultry songstress Cat Hope (Abe Sada), less is more drummer Pete Guazzelli (The Kids, Fall Electric) and guitar legend Bill Darby (O, Harry Smith) this is music to ponder.
one horse town
From the ground up, One Horse Town are redifing the rock trio, with baritone guitar (Sascha Ion), swampy Rhodes piano ( Ronan Charles) and concussive percussion (Stuart Leach) the weapons of choce for a fat rock sound that drives without speeding and does away wiht the obligatory guitar solos - capped with Ion’s versatile, head-turning vocals.

harry smith
Harry Smith started their life, like many other great bands, in Perth, WA. Since their conception in the early part of the century, and thier recent demise, they rocked us all with thier bittesweet pop that finds a place somewhere between Sonic Youth, the Pixies and Death Cab for Cutie. Pete Guazzelli (drums, vox), Bill Darby (guitar, vox), Ant Gray (guitar, vox) and Leigh McGowen(bass).
lux mammoth
Legendary bass guitar duo from perth - 2 albums, lots of contraversial shows (many involving meat), a tour of the USA and then stop. Bloodstar is pleased to add thier 2nd album, “New Guage Sinner” as a download (coming soon - subscribe for updates). This album was only released in limited copies in Italy.
